Why doesn't anyone want to talk about this?

I've been reading how useful the software is, yet no one responds to my messages. What's going on?

Have the over inflated prices of color balance software in the US got you numb with fear? Epson USA scares you? What?

I'm a 2200 owner, and I'd like to have the use of this Gray Balance software, in English, with the PDF manual. I feel it would remove color casts from my prints, and there is proof to support this --- it ain't just for B&W!!!!

Am I the only one who shares this view?

My suggestion is that if Epson USA hear lots of complaints they WILL do something. If no one complains, nothing will happen.

So, what's it going to be?

Thom.

Thomas,

It's not that no one want to discuss it, it's just that it's been discussed at length already and Epson US will not budge. As said, have a look for the other postings. There's only a couple of people who agree with Epson, based on their input during testing, but those of us who have actually used the software quite like it and want it also. Davidk

Well, the postings I saw were all dated prior to much in the way of availability of the 2200, AND were not very conclusive nor comprehensive, nor did they appear to be "at length".

Does that mean we all just give up because of some pre-set thinking on the part of an Epson subsidiary? Hah! Not Me!

What I have discovered just makes me want to know more --- and GET THE SOFTWARE!!!!

That's http://www.luminous-landscape.com Sorry--Jeff

Are you sure this is the right link?
Sorry--I guess my correction didn't post--www.luminous-landscape.com

Click on "whats new", scroll down to Aug 27th, then to inference of Epson silliness and Vincent Oliver. There you will find links to the gray balancer info.

that what YOU want is for us to let it die, but that might not be in our best interest........of course, you want us to spend $495 for a program you have helped to develop. People need to check the archives on THAT, too. K.
Check the archives.

I appreciate the ATTEMPTS at help, but I'm still in the dark.

The "luminous landscape" links all lead nowhere, you might as well tell someone to find a lost dollar bill "somewhere in Chicago".

Can you be more specific? I cannot find the "News" section you mentioned. If you cannot supply a link specific to the GB's English translation of the GB (Gray Balancer) documentation, then PLEASE post ALL the steps on how to get there! I cannot find it.

I am concerned that folks are giving up here, and that folks selling $$$$$ add-on software to accomplish the same thing seem to be taking over the discussions regarding the GB! Follow the money.

This is all making it more difficult for individual users to make up their OWN minds about the Grey (Gray) Balancer. That is a shame. Let's use this board to help others, and not line our own pockets.

Thanks to all those who responded!
Thom

Jeff: STILL cannot find it --- you must be going through several levels from the front page to get to this point, and I can't get where you are! Please help.
