I just ordered a Hoya brand stepping ring, but the item I received has no "hoya" logo on it, just "72-77mm Japan".
Has anyone else got the hoya and can confirm that it should be branded?

Goddamit, just what I thought....
Is it too much in this day and age to actually receive what you paid for!

I know it's just a £10 item, but come on... I'm not sure it's even worth sending back... although if I goose the thread on my lens I'll be kicking myself!

You did receive what you paid for. Hoya doesnt spend their time making any of this stuff because, honestly, its a stepping ring, anyone could do it. Im pretty sure if you buy a retail HOYA filter it even says "made by Tiffen" on the box.

And how Promaster is Tamron and that most "off-brand" TVs are just relabled TVs from other, major manufacturers.

Sure, I appreciate that it is low-end, but I had read various reports of non-brand stepping rings having inferior threading which could lead to damaging my lenses.
