Hi,

I've got my CP5K now for several month's and I'm very happy with it! Still, I have one little problem and I wonder if everybody has this problem and what to do about it. If I use the build-in flash in a close-up the image is always a little overexposed. Even if I put a lower density in one of the programs the image is still too pale!

why?

thanx a lot

Go to :
MENU
-> S
-> Setup 2
-> Speedlight Opt.
-> Variable Power
...set to -0.3, then (without leaving the menu) take a picture then :
-> Variable Power
...set it to -0.7, then (without leaving the menu) take a picture...
and so on until you get to -2 !
...then load your oics into your PC and decide wich setting is the best !
...of course, you can also in the mean time play with the + - EV settings...
Hope this helps ?

In addition to the above I now play with the aperture. Since the flash is so fast the changes in shutter speed have little effect, but closing that aperture does take care of blowouts.
