D7i EVF "Flash" - anyone else?

I notice that on mine also, only in autofocus mode. It seemed like
it made a little sound also. I thought it was a prefocus flash (it
does it only with the flash down!) I shoot mostly in manual focus,
so I haven't worried about it too much. I though I'd wait to see
if anything else went wrong before I sent it back. Also Qimage Pro
reports in exif that flash was on wether or not the flash was
used!. Exifer report light source as flash when not using flash
outdoors and light source unknown with using flash indoors!

Pre-focus flash - that's an excellent description! Yes, that is
exactly what it's like, but the flash is down. I've not worried
about it really - but it does seem like a glitch in the software.

Pretty much random as far as I can tell. Sometimes it does it,
sometimes not. Don't think it's related to low level light, but
I'll try and see if they are related next time I'm using it.

Try upgrading the firmware. I upgraded this morning and tried the
camera about 30-40 times, no flash in EVF! The autofocus seems a
little quicker also.
