I have found that I am not nearly as steady @54 than I was at 24. I'm not so sure I can pull off a handheld image with the 50 + EC-25. Maybe with a beanpole though. (~ 8

This one is cropped -not really a macro. Had to be quick to catch the buddy.

Jim, there is not much difference in "working room" that I noticed, other than the filter being about .625 thick.

I have only used the combo once for samples of a tube flash set up for a friend here. It was hand held. I much prefer the 50mm, EC 20 combo for the same magnification and better working distance.

I do use the 35mm, EC 20 combo a lot hand held. With no mono pod or something to brace myself with, it gets very stressful after a few minutes.

I never said it was easy :p
