Need a hard protective case, or carry case for MacBook Pro 15"

Well, I just can't believe it, I bought a MacBook Pro 15", gave Apple another chance with my money, especially after my disastrous experience with their first generation iMac G5, documented here.

I need a recommendation for a hard case for protection. I am hesitant about a Pelican, because they are typically so heavy, but am open to recommendations for something thin, that people have enjoyed. I am also hesitant about the typical aluminum case, just something about the squared-off design that puts me off.

My main use for it would be to keep the MacBook Pro when it is not in use, as I don't plan on keeping it out on my desk at home all the time, and need something I can store it in, carry around the house, and take it into the car. when I need to, in those rare situations.

So, I bought one of those hard case shells, which will keep it from getting scratched (along with the wrist pad, keyboard silicone, and screen protector film, see....

which is a hard sleeve...I like this product concept alot, as I can then carry it in any suitable bag I have without, I hope worry of getting crushed. I am interested in more suggestion from this product category.

It realy needs to able to stand vertically, which is how I plan on storing it when not in use, thogh I would prefer, I think something black and carbon, which would be light.
