Hi,
  • I will be there next week for Homecoming 2009 , so will have plenty of highland games, pipe bands & haggis pics , does any-one have any suggestions for good distillery/land/seascape shots in Huntly, Aboyne & Aberdeen areas . TIA Ron

Tourist information offices should be able to supply brochures titled The Whisky Trail or The Castle Trail with maps plotting the numerous locations around the coast/NE of Scotland. I was born and bred there. It's the most underrated part of the British Isles and in my view has more to offer than any other part of Britain in terms of beauty. Don't miss the coastal cliff walks/beaches which easily outclass Cornwall . A visit to Dunnotar Castle outside Aberdeen is a must -- so much to see and enjoy!

..5 yrs ago, for a day & didn't get along the coast at all, so hopefully I will be able to get a nice sunrise/set over coast/loch/mountain ...cheers RonS

Get yourself over to Stonehaven, lovely coastline and nice seafront and of course
Dunnottar Castle ........ have a wicked time

These are some of the pictures I took 14 days ago in Scotland. I don't know if they are your cup of tea (glass of whisky) but you can give them a try.
There are 30 in the slideshow.
Cheers and good luck and have a nice trip.

Unfortunately, sometimes, instead of changing cameras to get good pictures, you have to change the photographer.

..great slide show of the family trip and some interesting views and perspectives, particularly the gent with the icecream and the queue of ladies at the ferry ...
