I briefly played with an attached pocket wizard and nikons sb-800 flash this morning. A couple of examples: (of "Max")

Awesome dog pics! He looks sweet and high energy.

Hey Neil, nice shots, especially the last one! Like that color tone.

By the way, any difficulty going strobist with the pocketwizards and the EP-1? Read the the max flash sync is 1/180 but not sure how it works with the pocketwizards.

Myself I use the cheap China ebay triggers. Wonder if you can use a higher trigger speed than rated on the EP-1 though?

I'm really not sure what the max is. I literally did this before heading to work in about 5 mins! I was shooting at about 125 or 160 I think.

I will have to play more later.

Really nice pictures and thanks.

1) What lense did you use please? Hopefully the kit lense :-) I am at work and can't really see the exif info.

2) Have you used any of your Nikon glass on the e-p1 and if so what adaptor did you use please.

Thanks

George

Which pocket wizard did you buy as Adorama says that it is not yet available?

Thanks

George

Yes, kit 14-42. iso 200 shutter 125 at f5.6 (and flash on floor to the left firing at the ceiling)

No
Thanks

Excuse my ignorance but are you setting the SB-800 on Manual mode or is the Pocket wizard handling i-TTL?

Thanks

George

Great shots, beautiful puppy you have there - and great lighting.

Is it possible for you to take a picture of the setup? I'm not sure how this works.

Thanks.

I have to tell ya, me too! Unless I can get the flash off the camera that is.

All are great. Love the first one.

Print it. Frame it. Put it on the wall. People will go 'wow" (in soft, wondrous astonishment). :)

The last one, widest on the couch--that's ISO 200?
