My F200exr just arrived (finally after 2 months :-O ) and :-( .... It has a small blu pixel on the LCDscreen, I suppose is a burned crystal...is it right? how about your screen?...may I ask 4 a new good one?

When outdoor, LCD is ok but Indoor seems a bit confused with much noise on it, is it normal? I supposed is given by low light conditions but such a way on the screen could not compromise real image pics, right?

And now about Battery...clerk said to charge 18hours for the first time :-o but on the manual nothing about it and "the fujiguys" said it's ok 2,5 hour (first time too) for a fully charge... correct?

I took the battery and insert it in the F200EXR, then start to use all diplay mode functions but...is it normal some heat on the right side(the side of the battery)?? cause my previous cam (G60) didn't seem heating like that...how's about your experience?

Thanks

Defective pixels aren´t that uncommon on LCDs. Depending on the error-class usually a certain amount of defective pixels is tolerable, only the highest class doesn´t allow a single defective pixel, but only very expensive monitors are in this class.

While you can try to exchange your camera, you can not claim to get a new one, warranty tolerates single pixel-errors.

I don´t know what is "much" noise for you, but of course noise will get higher with lower light. The noise depends also on the "powersaving"-setting.

Charge it whenever you want/need. 18h is complete nonsense, a full charge will last about 90-120min. When the lamp stops to glow the charging is stopped, so it makes no sense leaving the charger plugged in for several hours. Also some shops test their cameras before selling them, so the battery already may be charged a bit.

But the battery may reach its full capacity not untill a few charges, so the battery may run out quite quickly at the beginning.

In use the whole camera may heat up a bit, but it´s not that much.

You may notice this more with the new camera, because the F200 is quite small and full of metal, and therefore transporting the heat quite fast on the surface.

Ok... but I don't think spending 330Euro is not (quite) a "top" class, or I would have bought a cheaper one, don't you think?!

I want to say that in outdoor light the screen give me a good vision of what I'm ponting to shoot (clear image on it); in indoor light (and low light) the screen show a poor image clearness quality

I'm agree cause LitIon battery stays in that way...I was surprised by the clerk suggestion!

Ok...but for example a "nikon coolpix" doesn't seem so heating as "F200exr"...would like to know if all F200exr are in that way or is a defect of mine (considering previous defect about the LCD screen too)

I was speaking of monitors which are in the zero-pixelerror-class, and yes you have to spend a lot more than 330€ for such monitor (I´m speaking of at least 1000€)

I don´t think any camera-manufacturer is guaranteeing zero-pixel-errors, at least not in the consumer-class. Maybe there are some cameras which cost like your car, that guarantee no pixelerrors, but again you have to spend a few thousends for it.

I think it´s pretty normal, but you have to compare to models side by side to be sure.

Yes, my F200 does that too... the right side (battery, I suppose) heats up some if the cam is on for an extended length of time, eg. shooting or viewing pics.

For the best you have to pay, ok I know it....but why should I have a cam with that problem when other people have the same cam without it??? my money has the right value, their cam must have it! or clients are not satisfied!

Yes a comparison would be nice...but your hint about LCD saving power option (disable) was right, now it's better :-)

Thanks, now I know all F200 do in that way....

But what about HOTPIXELS? If heating so much hotpixels will be a serious problem?! I suppose :-(

It really isn't the end of the world - my F710 had a dead pixel when I bought it several years ago. The only time I ever notice it is when I go to the view menu on an empty storage card and there's a solid blue background; otherwise I forget it's there. No other pixels have died since I bought it so it really isn't anything to worry about.

To guarantee 0 dead pixels would cost manufacturers a whole lot more; and they - perfectly reasonably IMO - assume that the buyer will be able to cope with the 1 or 2 dead pixels on a screen in return for not having to pay a premium.

Infact my doubt is about if this dead pixel is like a chain and will take to more dead ones....may be is just a kind of luckiness.

I think it's not so good to have: " take it so, or leave it"...in this way customers go in second plane :-( cause everywhere if you buy something you expect it is good made....but it seems you were right about major's politics.

I wiil see if the silver one (in the shop they have 2 cams) has no defects or I think I'll must take this "problem"...fortunally no problem I found in the shoots related to this dead pixel
