Hi
Im currently trying Nikon Capture NX2.2 software and I ran into a strange issue:

Im trying to rotate a NEF image CCW first and then edit it.

So when I rotated the image CCW and then tried to edit it, it rotated CW back to its original orientation. And when I rotated it back CCW it rotated 180 degrees.

Am I doing something wrong?

I tried it out myself and you are right, strange thing it never occurred to me before;

This is because I allways turn the picture in Nikon capture nx2 explorer ( hope I translate well , I have a Dutch version); So when you turn the picture as a thumbnail and open afterwards , you won't have the problem

NX2 is pretty resource intensive so to allow for faster processing of an effect, an option in Preferences allows a speed up by not displaying prior edit steps in the image being edited. Only one editing function can be displayed at a time if the "Keep all steps active in edit list" check box is unchecked.

Take a look under Edit on the menu-> Preferences-> General and see if that box is unchecked. If it is even though all your edit steps are saved one the current one effects the displayed image. Try clicking on the box to put a check in it and try it again. All your steps will then be concurrently displayed but rendering time will be slower unless you have high performance hardware.

To find out the real power of the program get Jason O'Dell's E-book on it. Well with the download price.

I did check this checkbox in Preferences and it did worked, although, as you said, it slowed down rendering speed by only abit. So this is good. thanks.
