Are they the same as the K10/20 focus screens?
So do I keep my LL-80 screen from my K10D to use in my K7?
Thanks.

Yes you can, with a little work. M60 (K-7) is a litte bigger but not very much. Are they the same as the K10/20 focus screens?

Hi Justin,Have you bought a K7 yet pete? Available locally for a decent price or you bought from sydney online?
I tried one out at PMA. Great camera, but its not a huge step above the K20D, so really it comes down to size and feel for me unless IQ is a stunning improvement (i expect it to be similar).

Ted's price looks like being $1750 or so, DCM I think had them around $1550 or so. I am off on a big trip up through the desert at the end of next week so I will start shopping around at the start of August once I get back.
Remember I will be going from K10D to K7, the features that are improved is a long list;
Sensor simila to k20D but faster 4 chan readout,
Improved viewfinder,
1/8,000 sec highest shutter speed,
Improved AWB, especially under difficult lighting,
Improved focus speed,
Much better focusing in low light,
5FPS,
Magnesium alloy body,
Improved metering,
Focus light,
1080i & 720P video,
Much better screen,
Lots more but I think that will do.
Pity I have to get a new grip an dthe old spare batteries will not fit but I should be able to still sell the K10D with some goodies for a good price so the upgrade will not be so expensive. I plan on keeping my Ds at this stage.
Cheers.

Sounds like a nice trip. Went up through Daintree area and Lakeland through to Cooktown one year, fabulous area, never done all the way to the tip in a car but have flown through to Bamaga and gone fishing at the mouth of the Jardine River for Dewfish on handlines. Plan on doing the drive through to the tip once I have my new camper trailer in a year or two.Looks like a number of Canberrans are going in leave: I've got all of August off, and due to the amount of accumulated flextime I've got to shed, I'll probably take the first week of September as well. Planning on using most of that to go see the Undara lava tubes and possibly some of the gulf country and Cape Yorke...
