Hi All,

I wanted to share my last album added to my portfolio regarding my two-day work at the Air Force Base in North Carolina. I have used the 40D and the 100-400 IS for the images with the jets during flight and panned the planes for about all the 1500 shots I took.

Here are the links to some of the selected photos:

Any comment is appreciated

Thanks

Nice shots. You do not seem to have any problem focusing. Must have a good copy, LOL.
thanks for sharing

Very nice photos. You should post a couple of teasers here, you might draw a few more people to your site. You have some other very nice galleries too.

thx for the tips and answer.
i must say your photos really captured the thrill of these birds.

Good shots ruined with UGLY watermark.

Please don't do it...

No one says not to watermark, but not in the middle of the nice picture.

Yeah, I agree. When I see the watermark in the middle of the first shot, I'm gone .

......Great looking watermark thumbnails pictures. Simon, I post my pics at 50%(2376x1584) all the time. You could do the same, and the watermark would be needed, not at your current size.

Some really nice shots, its a shame you didnt watermark as you have the images on the rest of your site, I notice the watermarks on the homepage images are all nice and small and tucked away in the bottom corner.

With such a big watermark running through the main areas of all of the images they are definately spoiled.

Your website doesn't seem to like my browser. All I get is black pictures:

Hi,

I will try to reduce the watermark as suggested by you all, thanks. However, the site with Zenfolio is for purchasing purposes and, as you can see, you can easily increase the size of the screen image. Thus, I was suggested by many to put the watermark in the middle of the image. On the other hand, I have created the parallel site (in the home page) with the purpose to scroll the imaged (in flash) with smaller watermark on the bottom left.

Indeed, I am taking into account your suggestions and I will try to resize and to change the position of the watermark.

For Gyles, I have no idea why you have blank thumbs on your browser. I have never heard about this problem from others. I have tested the site in Chrome, IE6, 7, 8 in FF and Safari but I have never noticed such issue.

Thanks again to everyone for the suggestions

Nice shots! I shoot air shows too and I am having a hard time getting good shots. I noticed you are using a very high aperture - f5. when you're dealing with an object as big as a plane you'd want the entire thing in focus so wouldn't you want to have a wider DOF?
