Very sharp spider. All insects are interesting because there is so much structural detail we can't usually see w/o a good photo.

I am also interested in the exposure of the 6 legged coyote. Was that rear-synch flash?

...'til next time...(snicker)...anyways, we'd be in a heck of a pickle (sorry Heidi) if there were'nt none around...can you say "bug swarms"?...

...thanks, Shane and Bob the 1th...mebbe youse can convince Debbie and Doreen they should see the beauty in the beast...

...thanks, Ian...I was getting the C-2040 ready to try some meteor shots the other night, and went out to the garage with it...when I turned on the light, this dude went scurryin' out across the concrete floor from somewhere, and just froze (guess they're kinda near-sighted)...probably didn't know where to go next...anyways, so I set the 2040 on macro and P mode, and held it 8-10 inches from him...wasn't about to lay on the floor with him... big dude... 1.5 or 2 inches front to back, counting them loooong legs!...a swivel LCD woulda been a big help...

...and thanks, Yote...re: the coyote...the many legs are due to slow shutter speed...it was dusky and late afternoon, and I didn't have time to set up...the specs were: P mode, full 10x zoom, ISO 100, f 3.5, 1/8 sec, handheld, auto WB and spot focus, -.7 EV...thru the window, and no flash...
...so there ya has it folks...I'll try ta clean up my act...
