Macro HDR?

Like happiness, photography is often better created than pursued.
 
In my mind that means you're doing it RIGHT rather than wrong. That is, unless you're going for that pastel cartoonish look. Nothing wrong with that if you're going for the digital art end product, but it no longer looks like photography at that point.
 
I'd agree with that - if you can look at a photo & say HDR has been used then the chances are that it has been over-done.

The only further thing that I would do with this image is to clone out that bright edge on the leaf on the left-hand side which connects the flower to the frame edge.
