Hi there.

I'm a registered user and owner of Bibble 4, but cannot get into the Bibble 5 section of their discussion board (don't know why)
Does any one of you out there know if there will ever be a Bibble 5?
I'm sick and tired that my ver. 4 does not integrate with CS4.

Every bit of news are welcome.

Just checked their website. No updates since last year. I asked them at WPPI and they said 2nd qtr 09. Well, that is almost gone. I bought this program with the promise of version 5 in a timely manner. It appears they have hoodwinked us all. Really a shame as I need a new computer and am in a quandry about XP/Vista. It appears 4 will not work in Vista and 5 prolly won't work in XP. Just like many other programs. M$ really screwed us all on Vista by not allowing XP programs & drivers to work. It will be two years before I would upgrade to Windows 7, so it looks like I will have to get XP for now. Bibble needs to get their sh in one bucket.

They have lost their chance tbh. I do not know if it is a sign of deeper trouble though .. it is getting to look that way.

With the advances in Lightroom and ACR, Bibble is less and less attractive. I have used the product ever since the very first versions but will not be any further. A shame as I was a really loyal user that defended the product despite it's limitations.

" It appears 4 will not work in Vista "

Rubiish.

I've run it in Vista for a year with no problems.

I only have Vista 64 on my laptop. I have not tried to load bibble on it. The bibble website says XP with no mention that I could find for Vista. Their website is woefully out of date with any updates. I was actually sort of offended by the guys at the WPPI booth when I pressed them about their unfulfilled promises about Bibble 5-aka vaporware. As unstable as the program is on my desktop, why would I want to make it mobile. Your reaction was uncalled for, but I suppose you are an employee. As you can see from the other posts, they are losing customers. They are becoming dissenchanted with false promises and no updates. They will learn other software and not want the hassle of relearning the new program IF and when it ever comes out.

Based on Preview 2 of Bibble 5, it is looking extremely promising. It's very very fast (especially when lens correction is not specified). It pulls together so many features under one interface and it runs on more platforms than any major RAW converter. Oh, and did I mention its speed?

The doubters and naysayers have it wrong.

The current preview version #2 of bibble 5 runs very nicely. It does support a limited number of cameras at the moment.
Because of the sheer speed and the layers (regions) editing is fun.

The speed of batch processing is so good that I now use it for batch processing my jpgs of scanned negs. Something I cannot do elsewhere.

Well I can't say I work for Bibble or Microsoft so...

I have have been running Bibble 4.10 on my Vista 64 machine. Maybe Bibble can't say anything about Vista because they don't have the software certified for Vista?

B4 and B5 both run fine on my Vista machine.
BTW, I just d/l #2 beta and noticed that it expires on 8/19/09.
Maybe this date is pointing to full release.
