Should I keep my new G2 my wife bought for me?

My wife got me a G2 for my birthday/anniversary/christmas present.

I only use mostly our cannon sureshot, my 35mm olympus om-g and om-1 sit in the closet most of time unless I'm at home using it. I use my digital video camera most of time on vc.

Should I be researching on a different camera, or is everyone happy with this model. Most of friends have sony's and nikons digital cameras.
My wife's work uses olympus camedia.

The G2 is an excellent camera in its price range. It has a lot of creative control capability, has a very nice lens, and can take excellent photos. This does take some effort and you may be frustrated if you are used to point & shoot cameras.

Before I got the G1 and later the G2, I've always had a camera or two. The G1 and G2 got me interested in a photography hobby for the first time.

According to Tom's hardware it's the #2 selling digital camera, and cnet has it ranked at #1. All the reviews give it very good marks on image quality and features. I'd keep it.

You can use it right out of the box without changing any settings and take some really nice images. It has a very sharp lens. It has a lot of bells and whistles you can tinker with if you want to.

Hey rx74me..............

Take some nice shots of the wife and family. You will be able to decide for yourself if the G2 is 4U or not.
I've had mine since February and it has proved to be a winner for me.
