Some contrast, shadows and cropped.

Seems to look best if you right click and view image, as opposed to looking at it in the forum.

all depends on what you're like from this photo. It doesn't have a subject. Nothing to bring your eye to a particular point. But, I like the pseudo minimalist interpretation.

The only thing that bothers me, other than the color blotching in the sky which could be an artifact of the posting, is the slight tilt in the grass/sky interface. I'd probably fix the tilt, and then place the interface either right across the middle, or 1/3 up or down.

I disagree. Photos need to challenge viewers, not fit into pre-made molds of what the public views as standard composition.

The only problems with this photo are technical, like the previously-pointed-out noisy sky and overly-sharpened grass. It's subtle, so I'm assuming it's not what you were going for.

Not really .... gotta watch the cross posting, one or two have been banned for doing it chronically ...

If you are seeing a difference, there is something strange about your setup. I find them essentially identical.

I find that the image is very noisy in the sky ... both grain and chroma issues. The grass is over-sharpened as others have said, but it is also blown out in a lot of places ... very high contrast in the initial capture is my guess. I think you needed to use more -ev to capture the grass without hot spots and then open the shadows as much as possible later ... that would likely lead to the need for Neat Image to control the extra noise introduced by opening the shadows ...
