I see the new Olympus C2500L posted on Steve’s Breaking News. Not too much info yet, but comparing it with the newly announced Sony DSC-F505K, it appears to be priced about $200 or so more than the Sony; has 3X versus the 5X zoom of the 505; does not swivel; lacks the Sony Zeiss lens and super sharp LCD; and of course, no MEPG, voice memo, or Lithium battery. Wonder what it does have to make is worth several hundred dollars more than the 505?

shrug... they all have their faults... time will tell... i must say i hate the memory sticks... at least the oly had some half-sense to make it CF compatible too..

3 words: single lens reflex.

SLR is expensive (the moving mirror, prism, fresnel lens and space for all that)
Just look at C2500Z vs the C2000Z. Very much the same hardware (Bright lens,
3x zoom, similar resolution. Olympus has to throw a lot of features in the 2500
to make it a better deal than the 2000. At least that is my opinion.
