6 last days of March in Morocco - most pics shot from the hip using manual focus on f8. Regret I could not stay longer - Morocco is definitely woth hiking for a month or two - amazing country you could describe as North African Tuscany. Just luv it :)

Thanks for comments :)

PS if anybody gets there: get authorisation pass for a visit&photos in Agadir Harbour - been there for just 5 minutes coach walk-around without it; frames are just amazing to catch!

Some truly creative photos! Very inspiring. Have been to Morocco myself: wonderful country indeed!

Would love to see this kind of work a bit more in the Nikon forums, where it is birds galore... ;-)

Cheers,

Pascal

Hi; thanks for all generous comments:)

I cropped all shots square due to my friend, who noticed: yo're composing everything square! And he was right. Therefore lately I just use typical APS proportions to get enough margin for better cut. That's all the story :)

Are all those images in black and white? I just don't understand the appeal of black and white.

Pavel,

it has been a GREAT pleasure to see your pictures. Most of the pictures: FANTASTIC!! ... but specially THE combination and the way of presentation makes it a whole thing and VERY SPECIAL :-)

Best photos I've seen in the Sigma forum.

Pavel, these are great shots IMO, I really enjoyed looking at them.

Take a picture, it'll last longer.

Pavel... you have a good eye... that of a graphic designer as well as a photographer. And as more than a few others have said, shown better - that is, more visually interesting - images than are generally seen on these forums.

I think there is something else about you though... you show a certain courage in taking a chance to venture away from the usual tourist spots... and it pays dividends.

Truly incredible photos, very evocative, the best I've seen on DPReview. Fabulous, I am a wee bit envious at your freedom of composition.....

Josef... you should reveal your images here more. I just had a look at your Hebridean Portfolio and would never have guessed that someone living in the heat of New Mexico would have caught the essence of those remote, windswept, damp, but beautiful Celtic isles. I have been there too, and I think the emotions in your photos are equal to those of Paul Strand.

I've been to Morocco, so I was curious to see your pics.

But I have no patience for Flash- or otherwise-animated galleries (it was loading slowly on a fast box with broadband connection), so I skipped it.
