raw file cd-r backup warning

I can see where you are coming from and I respect your thoughts,
however I do not accept them.
I could go back to Win 98SE (yes I purchased that as well) and not
have to activate. My problem is I do not consider activation to be
a problem. I knew the score prior to purchase and accepted this,
and the benefits of using Win XP Pro over ride your negative
thoughts.
I do not question the purely technical superiority of XP over 98.
That is another issue and another discussion.

By the way, Linux and Open Source is becoming an increasingly
realistic alternative for those who want to control their own PC's
instead of giving it away to software companies. You are encouraged
to check it out.

The point is that we should never accept to have to ask permission
from anyone or anything in order to install and use our working
tools on our personal computers, neither today, nor tomorrow, nor
in the future.

All the best,
