Epson 1280 Color Problem

My Epson 1280 photo printer suddenly began printing over saturated colors with too much contrast. I use Photoshop 6 as an editor but this problem occurs even if I print a TIFF or JPEG outside Photoshop. I am using the most current print driver for Windows XP. Normally I set the Epson print driver at the ICM setting, though this problem occurs even if I use the Photo Enhance or Color Controls. My monitor is not profiled, though this has not caused a problem in the past. The print’s saturation and contrast usually approximates the screen. I normally use the Adobe RGB color profile, though the problem occurs also when using sRGB. In Photoshop I use the document as the Source Space and choose Printer Color Management or the Epson 1280 print driver as the Color Profile. The problem occurs with both choices.

Any suggestions on how to solve this problem?
