what lens did you use? was it a teleconverter? I used closeup lens

Their nest is threatened. I had a great time taking pics of wasps
awhile ago, but when I got too close to the nest they first took on
this threatening posture, then flew towards me. I was on a ladder
doing this and had to jump off a few times. They're not as
aggressive when they are out foraging, just don't disturb their
nests, thats when they really get PO'd. And be careful, these
babies can sting multiple times, unlike bees, which die when they
sting...

Curious...I have found that ISO 400 is workable if you do not use a
filter and get the exposure right on 0.0.

In PS I have found that if you brighten the blue channel a tad that
it removes some of the noise from blue skies...
