This picture of me was taken earlier today, when I and my wife went to a beautiful small lake in the forest. I took some pics of the nature, but I think this was the best pic of the day. If you wonder what I'm doing, I am throwing myself backwards into the water, holding an inflatable mattress behind my back.

The camera used is a CP 885. This image required manual settings. While I was standing up, my wife set the camera to a small f number and adjusted the shutter speed to an appropriate value (in this case, it turned out to be 1/1000s, which is the fastest speed of the camera). Then she manually set the focus to the distance to the place where I would be splashing down. After that, she pressed the trigger halfways and counted one, two, threeee!

I hope the rest of you are having a great summer too!

makes me wonder why everyone is always so quick to upgrade to the latest camera. sometimes I don't think we realize that our cameras pretty much do the same thing today as they did on day one...take great pictures.

looks like fun.

I'm glad you're not a fish or a bird or a flower... lol Great shot it's a family keeper! Would make a great display in a bathroom :-)

and she got it!!! You owe her a really REALLY big kiss for that one! The timing, lighting, focal length, everything, it was all in sinc! Talk about a pic says one thousand words!
Print it, frame it, and look at it in February!
Cheers, Sandi

Hej Magnus,

The water looks pretty inviting and what a perfect picture, seem like you know exactly how to take the very best out of CP885!
Where in Sweden is that?

I already had my 4 weeks of vacation in July of which I spent two mighty weeks on the island of Crete in Greece. Of course I had travel company also from my dear CP885. Here are all the pictures I took:
