Hi,

I'm thinking of buying a fujifilm f100fd but cannot find it in any store. Can someone tell me what it is like to purchase a camera on amazon.com and if it is easy to return the camera if I don't like it or if I have a problem? Any info will be most appreciated.

Thanks,

I shop on Amazon all the time, and have purchased several cameras. I've never had a problem. Their return process is easy, but I never returned a camera because I didn't like it.

Thanks for letting me know.

Amazon is pretty reliable. I've purchased many items through them and it's a pretty well oiled machine.

Some items ship from amazon, others ship from associate vendors, so you may want to make sure you know where your camera is coming from. But, often Amazon partners with reputable on-line retailers such as J&R.

I've never returned a camera, but have other items and it has worked out pretty well.

Amazon is fine, but as someone else mentioned, beware of whom you actually buying from. One of the vendors sellong the f200 is ANT Online with whom I have had real problems and a very bad attitude. I would avoid them.

Oddly enough, another listed vendor is "The Price Pros" who always seem to sell for above MSRP.

I like Beach Camera (www.beachcamera.com), and they generally sell for a little less than Amazon and are just as reliable. They are a local store for me, so I know them. Of course B&H and Adorama are also good places to look.

I have a goft card for $200 at Best Buy so I am hoping they decide to carry this camera.
