After having a great three year experience with Smug Mug, I just wanted to thank them Not only for their great services over the last three years, but for their commitment to their subscribers and the real promise not to share information, and act very quickly to respond to any correspondance... They are constantly improving their services but are not increasing their pricing. They offered a free strap to anyone, not just to us smug mug subscribers, which I think is awesome...

the fact that there was such an overwhelming response to this offer, Smug mug did the unbelievable.. they went out and ordered 20,000 more straps.. now these straps are not cheap... even at the cost to manufacture, maybe 4 or 5 dollars, and the shipping which in my case was $1.50 , and the cost to have someone coordinate all these requests... this has to be at least 5 to 8 dollars per copy... That's 160,000 dollars, just to show that they are a cut above the rest... I am, and have been constantly blown away by the commitment to service, and quality of service they show daily.

Thank you again from a loyal three year subscriber.

I am in complete agreement with you Bill. I have had nothing but great experiences with Smugmug. It is my first photo hosting site (I've been there a little over 2 years) and it will probably be my last........

The free strap is a great gesture from a great company........

Thanks Rich, obviously Smug Mug comes here.. and although my thanks is genuine, I am a bit embarrassed that no one else jumped in this thread... I was kind of hoping that everyone here would just say thanks to a great company... there has been alot of chatter over this free offer. We who subscribe to smug mug and support them, know a good thing... But this offer was even to those who come here and dont have an account with them...

You are right; great company. I emailed them yesterday about my strap and had an answer within 2 hours. They will check to see if it has gone out and, if it has been awhile, will send another one. They really are good on customer service.

Still loving my 3 (count 'em 3) 7D's and starting to love my 1 (count it, 1) A700 even more

I sent my thank you note to SmugMug directly, as opposed to thanking them here. I am quite impressed with the camera strap's quality.

I agree that Smug Mug has great service, and I have had nothing but good experience with the company. I am impressed every year when they renew my subscription at my original rate rather than the current rate. Unfortunately I missed the free strap offer.

ken, you are a smug mug subscriber.... if you want one of these straps I would go to your control panel in smugmug, which identifies you as a subscriber... click on contact smugmug, and ask them for a free strap and you missed the inital offering.

It doesnt hurt to ask... I doubt they will say No...... they just received 20,000 straps last friday.

I found the the original request page is still up, so I submitted a request. If I get one, that would be great. If not, that's ok also. No problem.

Andy!

You folks are seriously the best. I received my strap last week, and I must say that this free (FREE for F's sake) strap puts many a strap to shame. I thought it's be a simple generic strap with a silk'd logo on it, but you even have your logo embossed (unsure if that the right term). The strap has just the right amount of stretch, and it certainly keeps my A200/Grip/Beercan much more comfortable than the stock Sony strap.

I wear mine proudly, and if people ask what "SmugMug" is when I'm out in the field, I'll be sure to let them know how great you folks are.
