With my D300 back in the shop, and with so many recent D200 acquisitions, this seemed an opportune time to share some recent images (taken yesterday).

All three of these were shot using a CC40M filter at ISO 100, converted with NX, then curves and sharpening were applied in Photoshop.

I previously had 2 x D200's but traded on for the D300 and deliberately kept the other D200 which I won't part with. I still very much like the files from the D200 inc high iso.

Here's a shot I took a couple of days ago with a Sigma macro lens - the lens isn't the best which shows in the sharpness of the image but still an interesting image of a moths wing. The colour came from two SB800's gelled and fired via CLS.

and this one with the older 50mm f1.4 af lens - this one though is at iso 800 with no noise reduction applied.

Beautiful.
Thank you Big Red.

My favorite is the last one, but the first one illustrates the tilt feature nicely and the second one shows how having different focal lengths allows for different compositions.
I love how the D200 is coming back on this forum.
It's a classic. It's not as capable as the D300, but at its current valuation the D200 is right now probably the best deal available for a DSLR with its features and performance.

I really like the shot of your dog -- very well done.

The D200 is no slouch and does well up to ISO 800; after that though, it's the D300 up to ISO 1600 or so, then it's time to move up to a D700.
