Are more black LX3 cameras coming?

OK, I jumped onboard the LX3 crazy train, and purchased a black one from us-appliance based on another persons post on this forum. They have 20 in stock (well 19 now) for $419.00 plus 9 bucks shipping to Boston, MA.

This is in line with J&R at 419.88 and free shipping. I can eat 9 bucks for shipping since these are so hard to find. The guy I dealt with (Franco) was very nice and said the LX3 must have gotten a good review or something, as everyone wants one ;-)

Orders are processed/charge the day after being placed, and should ship Friday. He said to expect it early/mid next week. It will ship either UPS or fedex.

Hope this helps someone else looking for the elusive black version!!

I too ordered from US-Appliance.com. Short and to the point over the phone. I ordered Monday, the order processed Tuesday and was shipped Wednesday. They never sent an email to confirm the order but I was able to obtain a fedex tracking number over the phone. Looks to arrive this Monday ! Keeping my fingers crossed.

So Panasonic can't deliver the LX3 to the stores, but they are selling them at $499 at their website?

If you gonna be greedy, just make sure its not obvious.

Received my LX3K I ordered last week from us-appliance.com
Ordered 3/4, shipped 3/6, Delivered 3/12 to California via FedEx Ground.
Hassle free no upsell, delivered as promised. $419 + 9 ship = $428.00
Going back to unpack and play.

Not really. I've had a 20D for at least four years and was due for an upgrade. I was eying the 5D Mark II, but I figured I'd get a good P&S for $400 to tide me over until the new 5D drops in price.

In no way am I dissing the LX3 -- I just went in a different direction for now.
