Epson 2200 anger

I am in a position to get some answers and possibly a solution regarding the non inclusion of the Grey Balancer software and CD printing facility on the US version of the Epson 2200 printer.

Phil has asked me not to put a link to my site on these forums, but in this case I am sure he will not mind as it is going to benefit many potential users.

Registration is a simple process, your name and other details will not be passed on to any other party. In this forums case all postings will be read by Epson US.

Hello Vincent,

I have read MANY posts regarding the items NOT being included by Epson for the US version of the 2200. So far, all of this is just TALK and COMPLAINTS and I have (so far) NOT had the pleasure of reading any real FACTUAL information on this subject.

Since you have identified yourself as being in the position you have described above, -- then; will you please tell all of us why the items are NOT included -- and any alternate solution(s) IF ANY.
I will look forward to seeing this information.

Several people who have purchased the Epson 2200 in the USA/ Canada have reported that the 2200 does not come with the grey balancer and CD printer, as sold elsewhere in the world.

If you go to the site he refers to you will learn that Vincent is a printer reviewer trying to help out in explaining what happened and why Epson decided to take those products out of the North American version. He will be talking to Epson very soon.

If you read my letter (also posted on this forum by Mr Stephen Livick) you will see that I have also complained about the lack of response I have had from Epson US. Hence you guess is as good as mine. However, we should get some answers to all the questions within a week.

I have already spoken with the top man of Epson UK who will be seeing the CEO of Epson US next week. He will then present all the postings I have collected on my site and hopefully get both answers and action.

At the moment I have 32 postings which have been viewed by over 900 people. Still time to add your own feelings.

It may take developing a site comparable site to dpreview to understand. I imagine that forum members are guests within Phil's digital house. We have limited freedom and Phil has limited rights. If we follow the house rules, we are free to come and go. If circumstances warrant it, Phil has the right to show us the door.
