Why are there 2 raw file options on my 40D? I know sRAW will be a little more than half the size of RAW, but please explain why one is used instead of the other. Please explain when to use one or the other and for what reason.

--That I know. Is there any other reason to use one or the other? If
saving disk space is the only difference, why still have both as
options in the menu set up?
How big are you printing?Steve, I guess I'm confused then. Saving disk space is a great
benefit. So if there is no other purpose, why have RAW as an option
for image quality? Just have sRAW in the menu option list. If I
want to shoot in RAW, just do it as a sRAW file. It seems to be the
better choice.

--Steve, I guess the question is do I lose any kind of quality shooting
in sRAW?
then you won't see any difference between sraw1 and raw-you could easily get by with sraw2 if you didn't crop.nothing larger than 8x10's
