Nikon 55-200 DX VR Lens

I was out shooting today using this lens and it up and quit. It would not focus and made a faint noise like it might be trying. I got it little over a year ago and it's hardly been used. Has anyone else had this trouble with this lens? I bought it from B&H but guess I need to call Nikon? First time i've had any trouble not sure what to do!

Does your camera work with other lenses? If not, then it may be the camera.

Have you tried turning the camera off, removing and readding the lens?

If you have a problem with the lens, then it is time to call Nikon to find out where to send it for warranty.
