And it is so sweet. Haven't had a chance to play with it yet but I did take some iso1600 shots in the office and it's pretty darn sharp. Hopefully I got a good copy although I'm not much of a pixel peeper so it might be bad and I just don't notice lol.

Anyway, love the 12mm on a full frame. So awesome!!

I had one in the Nikon mount that I used on a d200 and D2X. It was sharp but very difficult to compose with due to its extreme angle of view. When I put it on my F100 it was almost to wide at its widest end. This will of course be the case with the FF 5D. Its a fun lens but I found it of limited use. I's sorry I sold it, however.

Please post a few examples when you've had a change to play with it, especially with some of the 12mm wide open.

she still looks good at 12mm! That's impressive! The distortion of the face is usually not something you would want to post on the web of someone if you want them to be your friend any longer!

thank Canon for L and BMW for M

Amazing, been wanting a zoom lens wider than 16mm.
Is there any other lens than this work on FF which is wider than 16mm?

...Unfortunately the focus is so far out in my 1DMKIII that I can only use it in Manual Focus :(

...But it can come up with stuff like this :)

got mine couple of weeks ago. Maybe a bad one (even though this image looks ok). It over exposes by 2/3, focus some times foward focuses, vignetting very bad at 5.6, when lots of highlights looks a bit diffused. Maybe asking a bit too much from it.

It´s my favorite wide angle lens. It has served me well for almost 3 years on my 5D and is now continuing doing the same thing on my new 5D II. Congradulations.

PK,
The crazy-looking waiter looks like the bad guy, Zolo, from Romancing the Stone!

This is a very fun photo. It makes me want to buy this lens.
