I seem to be missin' something. Oh yeah... the camera!

Maybe someday Panasonic will ship some black LX3's to the 'states'.

Nice accessories Kirwin. The black LX3 will the icing on the cake...hehe. By the way, I'm just wondering how long are you willing to wait for the black version? I'm in the same boat as you and day after day, the G10 is beginning to look like my last resort because the silver is not "The LX3" to me if you know what i mean.... :)

Hilarious (the post, not your plight). Can't tell if that's the tobacco or red Panasonic case - I've got the red & it's fantastic. I confess, how gear looks plays a prominent role in my selection. The DMW-CLX3 is the best looking case out there.

I've had the lx3 for about 3 months. My wife, who couldn't care less about cameras and gadgets in general, loves the output from the lx3. She now uses it more than me.

Reichmann of The Luminous Landscape sums up my feelings for the LX3:

The LX3 went from a 'glove compartment camera (the one that's always in the car)' to his 'always along camera'.

Hope it arrives soon.

No desire for the G10. LX3 is worth the wait. ;)

Hang in there. Your LX3 will arrive eventually!

Humor is good for the soul. The case you see here is the tan/brown... and I definitely agree it is a good lookin' case.

Don't let her get to attached to the cam. You may never get it back... ha!

Where did you get the strap? It looks pretty sturdy - I would like to
get one like it but in black.
Just to let you know. The strap is woven fabric. The only part that is leather is the rectangular piece. The strap does appear very sturdy, but is a bit pricey. The lowest price I found is at Adorama and they do have it in black. (Shipping is free)

Hope this helps.

My god you hate the silver so much that you are considering a G10 instead???

Hopefully you will eventually get your black LX3. But if you don't the Canon will work just as well since it's black, and after-all that's what truly makes one camera perform better than another one. But in case you decide to pass on the G10 there are other companies that also make black P&S cameras.

Regardless if you decide to get the G10 hopefully it will not develop any E-18 errors. I'm sure Canon has sorted those issues out in their new models. But I read on another forums that silver Canon P&S have never suffered from the dreaded E-18 errors. It only affected the black models. But sadly the silver Canon P&S can't match the IQ of the black ones. Sorry no free lunch here either.

Also I heard a rumor from a very reliable source at PMA, but all manufacturers are going to be releasing more black models soon. A large percentage of the new models will be replicas. The replicas looks real cool, they have dials, buttons, switches, 3" LCD and of course they are black(Pro Look).

There is a huge untap pretend photographer market out there and they want to cash in. I'm buying a replica D3X myself as I'm going to be Paparazzi.
Good luck.
