Goffen, if I see another photo of your 7-14 stuffed with snow I will
cry!
Use the bl* dy lens cap! : )
It looked just the same, so no photo :-)

The freggin lens cap keep falling off :-( Probably due to the way i carry my e3,like a shoulder bag with the pentaprism towards my body. So i usually carry it without.

This is deep soft (cold) snow, so i don't think it makes any scratches.

It's a real pleasure to have you here and see your two excellent contributions. Now that you've jumped in, you might well find (as I and many others have) that these challenges are even more fun as a participant than as a spectator. What's more, they really push me (and I think many others) to constantly rethink what constitutes a truly good photograph, and pushes me (and I think others) to constantly try to better ourselves.
Stick around, Ted. I look forward to seeing of your stuff.

and welcome from me too and yep....sure hope to see you again. Don't forget, the best challenges are those that we wouldn't normally go shoot (well at least I think so, that's why it's a challenge ha!) so those are the ones that are really fun to do. Best thing is, as you may already notice, we're all pretty friendly with each other enough so that even suggestions seem easier to invision. It's so much easier to get told your fly is down or you have toilet paper hanging from your shoe, from a friend, right! LOL

as long as someone doesn't try to predict what the next camera or lens should be in the oly lineup. Then things seem to go downhill pretty fast.

All kidding aside, being a sometimes (schedule permitting) enthusiastic amateur I appreciate the opinions and discussion on the forum. Just like everyone else I'm sure, my schedule doesn't always permit me enough leasure time.

Hi folks,

Ok, remember when i said a big wave crashed on me in sri-lanka and send me rolling down the sand ? I've had a quite severe back ache since... Well, it's gone worse big time, and now i'm stuck with phys & med treatment since 10 days.

Talk about keeping your tan when you're stuck at home !

No to mention taking a few shots or holding a cam - i've been absolutely useless for the past week, but things are getting better, and on a good way - never wait before going to the doctors !

I've been able to wake and walk well today, i've read and replied to a few emails (i'm late !!), so i'll take the opportunity to vote this evening.

I'm not complaining - my colleagues are !!

Ok, i'll be fit for spring, that's what counts !

Darn @%$£ wave !

Cheers all,

Marc

Wow mark I missed your first post about this. I must have been a monster sneaker wave to get you unawares.

I hope you get better soon

when I was twelve years old I was on a 6 meter high jetty when a freak 12 meter wave knocked me down the rocks into the sea. I was unhurt except for a few cuts and bruises. the young can survive their own stupidity
