New H series Model

remains to be seen ..........image quality ect.

price tag well... seems rather high and i wonder if people trust Sony enough to spend that amount of money on it.

new technoligy involved..... time will tell if this is the great camera we are waiting for... many years in a row Sony failed to deliver.

Simply do a Google search for DSC-HX1 and see all the rumors based on this number.

HD video the key buzz word this year.

Wonder why a 2.7" vs 3.0". Also wonder if it will have the tilt screen like the H50. Since Sony has added that to some of their DSLR, I am guessing (just guessing/not fact) it will.

The funny part of some of these rumoursites is that they actually link to this thread on DPreview as one of the bases of their rumours.....

Nevertheless, could the X in the name mean that they are changing their approach to the camera?

BTW, the pictures on these rumoursites appear to be from a H50. Figures, cause if the camera isn't released yet, the pictures will not be out either...

Greetings,
Erwin

Saw nothing about RAW support in any rumors yet... Hate to see them exclude that on a $400+ camera

If this camera materializes and has a CMOS sensor and 1080p video, will it also have the bad faults seen in other models with these two features? Other cameras with CMOS sensors and progressive-scan video, show bad fluttering and blurring during panning. These cameras have to be held still or used to follow moving subjects that are kept in the same place in the frame. The manufacturers don't usually inform you about these things, before you buy.

Interesting to see Sony dropped the Carl Zeiss tags and replaced it with it's DSLR quality name. Probably to keep the price lower.

Interested to see what kind of EVF is used and whether there's still no RAW as the specs suggest.
