1D Computer issues

I have just purchased a 1D which is amazing. But, I can't get it to be recognized by my Mac (OS 9.2) or my PC running XP. Have others encountered this? Is there a thread somone can point me to. Many thanks.

First thing is you're in the wrong forum. The guys in the Canon SLR forum will be VERY helpful to you though.

Anyway, I've heard them say that this is not yet supported, but there is some work-around to get it to work. Something about turning on the camera before you turn on the machine. Either do a search or re-post your question in that forum and you'll have your answer quickly.

Sorry I couldn't give you the exact answer, I'm a D60 guy.
