>>>>> Challenge 101 - Favourite Places <<<<<<

Wow, there are such great shots in the galleries! Some that are so so beautiful! Some that are so.....yes I want to be there!

I have 2 more photos in mind. I was hoping for some sunshine and we had some for a bit today and of course I had other business and didn't get to take advantage of it. Now they are saying gloom and snow stuff for the weekend. Well, I hope it doesn't snow because it sure looks good to see the ground.

I've been putting some comments as time allows. I'm falling behind but I've sure seen some shots I really love!

Battling to find shomething to shoot whith all the bush fires. Its either like a fog scene or dante's inferno. Will try this week end if the wind changes or we get cooler weather.

Back ... two "new eyes" now. The one that got corrected yesterday is very sore at the moment, though. Drops six times a day, tylenol and rest ... supposedly.

I took some E-510 scenery shots on the way home. I forgot that I always use my right eye to the viewfinder and just went ahead anyhow, sore or not. I probably shouldn't have done that. I couldn't really see what the results were on the screen, either. Probably blurry.

But I think I'll be able to get away with just reading glasses now. Makes me look different. So what's next? Botox?? Hahahahaha!

Seriously, thanks for the good thoughts. I'll be around in a day or so.

Same here Collin. Melbourne is covered in a pall of smoke making conditions very unpleasant. A lot of my favourite places have been burnt out beyond recognition and it is so devastating I don't really feel like taking photos.

I am happy to see that you are back home with 20-20 in both eyes, it must be fun to look at the world without the aid of glasses or contacts.
that is, with the exception of close up reading.
To fix that eye degeneration problem will require some very new technology.

and there are some very inspiration shots in there! I left a few comments, but often remained silent when I'd just be repeating what others said - so some of the very best have no words from this man of few words ;-)
Plus, this gives the thread a little bump.

the dpreview Magic of Monochrome Challenge. MY old E-300 couldn't quite match the winning entry shot with Hasseblad H3D-39.

I went to one of my favourite places: mountains; in this case the nordic ski station of Guils, in the Pyrenees range at some 2 hours from Barcelona. Although tried it insistently, I was not able to take a good photo to put in the challenge. But it was a sunny day, the world shone and the snow was just perfect, so no complaints.
A greeting from the little refuge in the "Barranc de la Comella".

Got a few shoots at Intaka Island ( one of my favorite olaces) this weekend despite the bushfires and smoke. I have so many favourite places as I have said before, its difficult to single out any one or 100.

I am a bit aprehensive about going to see what the fires have done to a few of my other favorite places.
