... and i thank you for thinking of me when you created it but unfortunately it's not much use when the idiot it is intended for doesn't even pay attention to his own time zone. i was more fascinated by what time the challenge and the voting ended in other parts of the world.

i guess maybe it's time for me to get back to reality... back to the real world.... back to a place where time matters... but on second thought, no... i don't think so.

sorry about the unfortunate events that have plagued you the past week and combined with the previous weeks hectic county fair schedule, you should be highly commended for still making time to host this challenge. it has not gone by unnoticed. thank you.

I'm sorry I could not vote by the deadline time last night. I work in the veterinary field, and yesterday's business hours just didn't turn out to be "normal". I should have voted earlier. Thank you for the extension.

I really liked images that are more "direct" from the camera, and I like
some color contrast, preferably some bright color for this challenge...
it helped to convey the "mood" of "fun!!" to me.

My votes:

4pts Summer fun by Richard Rehkemper
Richard, I really liked this image, especially since it was your first.
The smiles, the activity, the composition, the bright color contrast...
I can't wait to see more of your images.

3pts 1 Wet Kid by cUrVe
cUrVe, I really liked this ...the simple composition, the way you
captured the "activity", the bright color contrast, the great
expression.

2pts golden retrievers know...by Peggy
Peggy, this was a great image. It has all the elements that I like.
Being a veterinarian, I see animals everyday...but not having fun like
this! ...so I wanted to award points.

1pt Waterslide fun by Nee
Nee, I really liked your images, but I liked this one the best.
The activity with that wonderful smile got me. I tried to capture
a tube slide image, but I couldn't get one like this. I also liked
the background's effect on the image alot.

HM: I can't list them all. Here are just a few of them.

Spontaneous Precipitation by canadian_ann
Ann, I loved the water droplet reflections and the smiles.
I recalled when this was done to me. I liked how
"spontaneous" this activity was.

The Ride's going to be fun by Saurabh Gupta
I really liked the composition of this image, the activity involved,
the color contrasts of the shirt and parts of the carousel,...
and the very genuine smile of the child engaged in this activity.
I hope to see more of your images.

in the bath by JLN
JLN, this is a beautiful image of a boy (I can only assume, your son).
I've voted for one of his images in a previous challenge...you have a
great way of capturing his essence...this one had a wonderful smile
as well. This image was beautiful to look at.

Splash! by Ann Chaikin
Ann, I loved the effect/composition here. I liked the stop-action of
the water too...I could tell he was really splashing that water!

chalk artist by Scott A.
Scott, I really liked this alot...and the effect of contrasting the
colored chalk with B&W. If you could capture this beautiful little
girl with a smile while doing this, I think this would be even more
beautiful. I hope I see more of your images.

Kenzie Spins by Matthew Cromer
Matthew, I really liked the open-mouthed smile, the activity/action,
and the color/composition.

Staying Cool by Faye White
What a neat idea, Faye...very original, like Peggy's image of her
golden. Loved the simple composition here with the brightness
of the water.
