Where are the 5Dmk11s in the UK

I have had one on order for 2 weeks and have been told they expect new delivers in March. I spoke to Canon UK and was told that they do not have an expected delivery date. Is there a problem with the supply or with the problems with the first batch they are being sorted before the next batch is released.

I am waiting since 3 Dec. 2008. The store where I ordered, told me they are asking Canon every second day about delivery.

I don't understand. Either there are so many requests for this camera or indeed there are problems with the first batch. I don't remember of such delays from Canon cameras...

Are they going to honour the price, the place I have ordered mine from have sent me an email saying if the price from canon goes up, they will pass the price increase to me :-(

hello - i ordered my 5d2 on the 29th jan from bt shop (dabs i think) with a lead in time of 3 to 4 days. i've had two e-mails bumping that date to the 6th of Feb. i've also had a response to my question about them honouring the price i bought it at and they have confirmed that they will do so. i bought it at £1903 delivered and the last time i looked it was up a £100. luckily i'm in no hurry so will just sit tight.

I suspect they are shipping them elsewhere where they get a higher price. Once the new higher price is in place, they will magically appear by the truck load.

Did you order from UK, even though you do not live there?

I have waited since 3rd of Jan and I was told to expect my camera possibly in late March.

I had one from dabs at £1836 but it was faulty so I returned it- they wouldnt exchange it (no more stock) so I got a refund that was a few weeks ago now and I didn't think it would be too much of a problem getting another at the time (called quite a few retailers and they were all expecting imminent shipments) but have been waiting and waiting and everyone seems to be pushing back their expected delivery dates (and no-one I've called can guarantee any kind of time frame)- I have it on order both at Amazon and play.com for £1899 each

There is stock at retailers that are selling for £2099+ but nothing below that- problem for me is I'm going travelling in 3 weeks and I NEED it before then so am wondering if I should just buy it at the higher price (will be really painful but it will be worse not to get it for my trip!)

Try Park Cameras. I collected one from there last week along with the grip, unfortunately they didn't have any batteries.

If anyone want's mine off me they can have it - it's perfect (bought in December with no black dot problem) but simply doesn't do it for me over the original 5D. I'm based at Clapham Junction if you want to take a good look.
