Full S2 review up at imaging-resource.com

Gosh it is hard for me to accept that the S2 has shutter lag worse than the other D-SLR's. In MF, against the D30 I feel the S2 has a SIGNIFICANT advantage. I haven't done any tests so maybe my conclusion is not accurate. And I don't do much actioni shooting so it is not that important to me. Nice to hear that the S2 is starting off better than the S1 did! I am still a little concerned about some of the color cast problems.

Nick-It most certainly is. :> ) Peter
I'm really eager to try this lens out for myself on the S2.

Life is good,
Nick.
Hi- I'm using this lens and it's fabulous on the S2. Very well
balanced, it's exceptionally sharp even wide open. Mostly, the S2
really does benefit from the AF-S lenses as the focus speed is
great. The non-AF-S lenses will do in almost all situations except
very fast sports. The AF-S/S2 covers this as well, to the limit of
it's FPS and buffer, but certainly covers everything else....Peter

"I confess that I approached the camera with more than a little skepticism, expecting it to come up short after the wonderful experience I'd had with the Nikon D100 just before it. I was thus somewhat surprised by how much I ended up liking the S2." - Dave Etchells, Image Resource.

This thing feels BEAUTIFUL! The pictures (all three I've taken so far indoors with the little pop-up flash) are awsome! This thing really is a beauty! I went down to Samy's in LA to buy their "last" one per a post here and now that I've had this camera for so long (3 hours, most of which was driving home in LA traffic) all I can say is WOW!

The buttons for changing the settings are SO convenient! The soft buttons. It's SO easy to change what you often have to drill down into several menus to change. The shutter is quiet, and quick. I can't NOTICE anything different from my 35mm F100 (though I'm sure there IS some difference, it just wasn't something I noticed). And it feels SO good in my hands! This is NICE!

Until now I find the S2 great. For sure with the time some things will show up that I will not like so much. But right now I am so happy with it.

After reading for so many weeks all canon, nikon and fuji forums I decided to go for the S2. Right now it seems that I didn't go wrong........

But may be the foveon chip will turn us up and down and we will not accept anything inferior to "foveon quality". Time will tell us........

Best regards

Cristian
