I would like to know how to change the defect name that the machine gives to the pictures (DSC00258.JPG), it is posible for example to program that the machine start again the serie and start with DCS00000001.JPG, or DCS00001000.JPG?

Tell me how...
Thanks in advance.

Jesus,

Your only options are to reset back to DSC00001 or to change file numbering so that everytime you insert a new MS it starts from DSC00001. That's it, no other settings or changes available. This is usually a major headache to those who own more than one Sony DC, same file number series on all cams. It gets even worse if you mix your Memory Sticks up....lol You can't even tell which DC took the shot.

Maybe this small freeware utilitie "FileExpress 505" from Moonsoftware is able to help you:

http://www.moonsoftware.com/files/fe505_100.zip

It sorts my downloades pictures into folders e.g. "2002.07.14_Sonntag" and renames them to a reasonable filename e.g. "2002.07.14_16.17_07663_Sonntag.jpg"

I love it! Give it a try!

Jens

PS: It's for the F505 but should work for the F707
