I found this guy in Western Uganda. Not sure what kind he is, but there were hundreds of them running around. We even had them in our room! Looks like he's missing a couple of toes. We even saw some with no tails!
Well what a pleasure to see you here, that I know as a 'Blue -headed lizard' there is a long word in Afrikaans for him, but literally translated that is what he is. He is certainly a fine speciman. They loose their tails as a safety mechanism, so if they are caught the tail drops off and they can free themselves. The tail will grow again.
Thanks Jill and Meaness. Yes, this is my first time ever posting for any type of competition. Frankly, I have never thought of my photography as being of a caliber for competing with others with more experience and skill.
I only got into photography because I like the results I get; I never really expected others to like them too. This always surprises me. Yet now I am selling my work internationally. Seems very strange to me... and lots of fun too! Every cent that I make from the sale of my prints goes directly to my family's charity work in Africa to help children who are orphaned by HIV/AIDS. What a great way to help people who most need it!
Thanks for the kind comments.

The challenges are meant to be fun.... I've seen your photos and you shouldn't sell yourself short. Take a look at the photo below that I used to win the "FLUKES" challenge, there is no skill there (haha). Hopefully your will join us more often!
For this challenge, you can enter 3 photos, and you can post the others as exibition only (will not be judged), so if you could let me know which of the 3 you would like to enter, I'll put them in the voting pool.
