Hi,

Some impressions of winter near my hometown. Finally. Didn't see much snow or ice in the last couple of years. Made them last week. Meanwhile it is raining again.
Made with D300 and 16-85 VR.

C&C welcome.

I have a total of about 18 photos. I can post more if you want...

Thank you.
I made them around the city of Deventer.
That's about in the centre of the country from north to south.

Hoi Andre,

Thank you very much.
Had to work last friday, so I went out saturday morning very early.
The light was beautiful. Hope we don't have to wait for another couple of years.
Like to see another elfstedentocht...

These are all nice, in fact it would be hard for me to choose which I liked best, after looking several times my favorite would be the one with the house or the one with the horse.
Nice job

Thank you em_CT,

I used Photoshop for making the frames.

I added 7,5 centimeters of space around the picture, added another 2,5 cm at the bottom and filled a new layer underneath the photo with white.
Then i created the smal black lines around the photo on a different layer.
For the type I used Garamond.
That's about it. It's something I picked up out of a magazine about photoshop.

Thanks Malch,

I use Capture for the raw conversion. The light was absolutely beautiful that day, so I only adjusted the levels a bit.
Then I used Photoshop for the making of the frame and type.
I used landscape setting in the camera btw.
Whitebalance on auto. Mostly f8 or f13.

The originals were a bit darker and blueish. Adjusting the levels in Capture was enough. At least for me...
