Let us see the towns you live in.....

The town is steeped in history and recent renovation made it a
tourist attraction. The town is older than the discovery of America.

Enjoyed looking at your gallery Dave, as an "ex-Cumbrian" (born in Maryport, brought up in Cockermouth, but then moved to live and work in London before retiring to the Algarve).

Every time I go back I feel that the place has lost something (apart from the foul weather, which I cannot abide!!).

No town to show – we live way back in the mountains. Here’s our house this time of year:

Our land looks something like this

In the valleys, you will find horse-and-buggy PA Dutch country with lots of beautiful 18th Century stone farmhouses and barns:

The nearest town is Birdsboro, PA, once a thriving steel town – made cannons for Washington in the Revolution and tanks in WWII. Ever since the plant closed the town struggles to survive. The old steel plant covers miles:

There are some nice residential streets left over from the glory days:

Yes objection Alap.

Crakow is called the most beautiful city in Europe, this doesn't do right to it ! I have never been in Crakow. I travelled throu Poland summer 1975, it was fine.

Please can you show me some nice city views of Crakow ?

And please forgive me my joking.

Yours Jouni

Yes it's my home when I visit US.

Nice photos !

It reminds me of my 3 year stay in Poughkeepsie (see, I still know how to spell it),
in the early 80th. Guess what corp. I was working for !

Nice shot. I like the subtle pastel-ish colorations. Is there a pulp/paper mill nearby?

As you can see I live in a small town...but that's the way I like it. Lots of mountains and outdoor living on the outskirts of town. This is looking down one of the four blocks of the main st. late one Sat. night.

Tell Mr. Hassler that he needs to straighten-out his door mat!

;-)

Nice Shot!
