Honestly, I hardly like any of the landscape images. all look over processed.

It is also nice to win a contest b/c people like the image, without any bribe involved.

I don't participate in those competitions, so I would not need your vote. But for $5 I'll vote for you. How about that? Or this is too corrupt for your taste?

--the disclaimer for this contest says that the photos can be used for any purpose for an extended time. this seems to me to be a way they can get all the photos they want very cheaply. rather than buying photos just start a contest where you get to use them.

yeah, but who would want them? I mean, overdone HDR is good for practice, not for advertising/commercial gain...

the landscape winner has a really badly processed sun, looks like exposure darkening and showd/highlight tool used in a bad way to turn the blown sun into gray....

Please post some of your wonderful work!

It is too much with the shadow/highlight tool. A little of those tools go a long way IMO.

1. I think great majority of photographers would agree those images are over processed. If they are to your taste, hey power to you.

2. You want to see what good landscape photography looks like? look at this thread. 90% of images are better than the winner or runner up images

I just about always play nice on the forums. Its a good practice I think. The main reason I even commented on this thread was b/c of OP's offer of exchanging votes. I think my critique of the images was actually very kind.
