FZ28 When you're strange.... a peculiar bird..ID help?

--Yes its a Coot,very common bird in the UK,I like the last one best,the eye has it for me but also the composition c):0) (I've got my hat on because its so cold)

My opinion is just that.

There feet look somewhat grotesk.. lol He looked a bit grumpy in the cold. I had a hard time framing with al these shadows .

Tonight up to -18/20C brrrrr...

--My daughter was stood behind me when I was looking at the Coot's feet,she shreiked "oh Dad those feet are so ugly" :0) ,

-18/20C eek! I thought it was cold in the UK at -7C last night,I feel quite warm now!

I have a hard time getting the eyes well with birds. Why can't they keep still.

Coots are common in Ontario too, but this one is strange indeed-in the first photo, he isn't banded, but in the subsequent ones, he is. Is this two different birds, or was the band put on/taken off during 'photo shoot'?

Eleanor there where more than one . First one was a different one. I guess some banded other not. Probably for research reasons some are 'tagged'.
