Best and cheap camera store in UK

where do I find a good reliable camera store in the UK which has really good prices (Something like B&H in New YorK)

Amazon.co.uk does not work for me

I don't know about reliability, as I haven't used these stores yet - but the prices seem attractive:

Grays are a very reputable Nikon dealer, but they generally do not offer the best prices.

Beware these two do gray imports though (i.e. there are warranty implications). Never a big fan of jessops in the past, but they have turned out to be quite competitive recently, might be willing to price match, too, so I recently made a big purchase from them. Warehouseexpress, rgb-tech and parkcameras are quite popular as well.

Prices of all mentioned are similar, the main difference is postage, Warehouse express is free to the UK & £9.95 to Europe. assuming your order is over £50

It compares the prices at a number of UK camera stores & also warns you if they supply 'grey' import stock.

I have found this very useful in the past.

Thes guys are the best there is . Bought my D3 8 months ago from them at a lower price than any online seller is selling them now ... I actually picked it up from them nice liitle shop. Good people to deal with also..

Hi Timur,

"Best" is hard to define, so I'm going to recommend my favorite store, Chiswick Camera Centre, as the best store in London. It's a retail store though, so you're not going to find the cheapest prices (vs. online), but their customer service is absolutely excellent (and this is coming from someone used to North American service levels). All of the staff are experienced photographers, and you can count on targeted advice to any query (and Andy, the owner, seems to be able to get just about any piece of kit, no matter how rare or out-of-stock

...go with Robert White. Every single word I read about them said they are very reliable. That made me go and buy from them.
Their customer service is indeed very helpful and friendly.

I just bought from them a D700. Delivery was lightning fast. I ordered December 19th by the afternoon, camera arrived at my home (in Portugal) on the 23rd by the morning and there is a weekend in the middle.

It went so well that I felt I should recommend them to everyone looking for a supplier in the UK.

Yes they have a shop in Middlesborough, I was going up that way and called in to pick my camera up, great people. The shop is actually right next to a .. Jessop's store..
