Greetings all. I've finally decided to get the 40D. The great value to be had at this time is just too irresistible. Can you give me some good places to buy? Considering price and reputation.

I'm also shopping for a good shoulder bag. My gear is currently a 10D, 70-200L F4 (w/ lens hood), 17-40L F4 (w/ lens hood), 50 F1.8 and a 420EX flash. I'm trying to keep the bag as small as possible. Any suggestions?

Thanks and Happy New Year!

... same price, free shipping, no tax ... and neither will send you a cam that had been returned or even opened up and played with at the store. These two are high volume ... sell only completely clean, fresh stock. B&H is the LLBean of photography sellers, closely followed by Adorama. 14 day no hassle return policies, and good customer service.

There are many to avoid on the internet ... Amazon is a chance: made up of many retailers, some of which are better than others. I've been burned a few times there by extremely poor customer service to bother with them again ...

Thanks guys for your help. B&H had a good price and the SageMax protection plan sounded really good. Throw in a 2 GB Sandisk III and I was outta there for about $924.00. Not too shabby! I feel good ordering from such a reputable dealer vs saving another $100.

My 10D is still a great camera but I sure do look forward to the speed and low light abilities of the 40D. And that big, honkin LCD will be pretty nice too. :)

Thanks again!

Thanks for the reply Noo, but could you be a little more specific. Those 2 links both have different interior colors but the same exterior color, black. Which one do you have?

I have the one that is black/ Gun Metal with the oatmeal interior. I have never seen one with a blue interior. It is a great looking bag and the prices are basically the same all over so I would suggest going to B & H. I also think that Crumpler only makes that bag with an oatmeal interior with the Black/metal. The picture on the other site may be a mistake.

Hope this helps and if you get the bag have a good time with the new camera and camera bag.

B&H and J&R, both online vendors (and stores in NYC). J&R has a better return policy.

A agree with the other posters on the crumpler 6 million dollar home. Best walk around bag I have ever owned. Holds a ton of stuff (mark III, 100-400 and 17-40), also works well lightly loaded; comfortable on the shoulder, and can be flipped around and worn across the back.

I also have the 6 million dollar bag and it is perfect for my 40D and 17-55 lens attached, and plenty space on both sides of the camera. I got the purplish-blue/orange bag and it really looks good and doesn't come across as a camera bag.
