Hi all,
Its a newbie question, tried searching in forums with no luck.
when I try to put the lens cap back on, and if the barrel is not all the way in, either because it was not in full zoom out position or in neutral focus position the barrel compresses a little (if in AF), a lot (if in MF). I know there is no problem when its in MF mode, as you're allowed to adjust the focus by hand, but will this cause damge to AF mechanism in the long run?
The way I do it right now is (safe way):
1. Zoom out all the way.
2. Change the lens to "MF", adjust focus to make sure barrel is fully compressed.
3. Put lens cover back on.
Thanks for you time!
