I don't normally respond to posts like this, but....

Greg, I looked over the past couple of threads about your order of the 5700 and I have to say that I think you are overreacting a bit. Not having participated in any of the conversations, it looked to me mostly like there were people who were slightly skeptical and asking for more information to confirm something which contradicted their previous understanding of the world (for example, that you could get overnight shipping to Florida from Canada). There is a difference between being skeptical and calling somebody a liar.

You seem to respond to such questions in a slightly defensive tone (using all caps and exclamation points), which might aggravate the situation. I grat that calling you a "chump" was uncalled for and unpolite. Wouldn't it have been better, though, to just ignore that and chalk it up to somebody's ignorance?

By choosing to make such a nasty attack yourself on people that you perceive to have wronged you (fleas of 1000 camels in the crotch, etc.), you have yourself taken the focus of the forum away from sharing digital photography information and shifted it toward a personality / etiquette forum.

Maybe there is some history of people being really rude to your posts that I am not aware of, but my experience is that name-calling and insults, no matter how well they may be deserved, do not help make matters better. Just ignore the minority you consider mean and respond only to the majority who you agree are nice.
