Anyone have any concrete information on why there are so very few S40's around for sale. New version coming? Oversold? Recall?

Also anyone like to venture a guess as to a time frame in which we will see them again?

B&H has them in stock...

it seems it's typical of Canon, when the item is out of stock at a particular store, it required them a lots of time to restock... either way, B&H has them in stock, and the price is about $550...
